Details, Details, Details!

A wedding can be a great production. So many little things must come together in order for this incredible event to take off. From the big purchases like the bridal gown, to the intricate little pieces that make the whole day sparkle with magic. Pinterest has really become a hot spot for the clever and inventive DIY decorations that have been popping up at many weddings. Here are a few of the details we’ve come across and fell in love with ourselves.

Jillian + Richard, Feb 25th, 2017. Calamigos Ranch, Malibu

Jillian and Richard tied the knot at one of my FAVORITE places. Calamigos Ranch. Filled with all of the glittering, twinkling lights, and whimsical woodland fantasy a wedding Pinterest board could ask for. The evening glittered with much more than just lights, though, as the loving couple filled the room with their smiles and laughter after they said their vows.  We were honored to be apart of such a warm and fun-loving couple’s special day. Best wishes, Jillian and Richard!

Tonee and Chad, Feb 11th, 2017, Calamigos Equestrian Center

Happy Valentines day, lovers! It wouldn’t be Valentines Day at Looking Glass without celebrating some love. This one goes out to Tonee and Chad! Surrounded by the serene and whimsical ranch-like estate of Calamigos Equestrian Center, Tonee and Chad said made their forever vows. This couple was so unbelievably surrounded by the magic of love coming from family, friends and each other. It was hard not to have a little smile for them throughout the day. Congrats, Tonee and Chad!

Before I sign off… I’d like to give my own little shout of love to my honey and partner in photography. Here’s to many more years of capturing love together!

Cynthia and Rene, Oct 30th, 2016 LA Arboretum.

The Los Angeles Arboretum is glowing with fabulous colors from brights pinks and deep fall reds, to blends of orange and yellow as you make your way along these beautiful pathways. Engagement sessions here are always amazing for us, because not only does the place light up with color, but romance engulfs the all of these colors, making it an enchanted two hour walk. Cynthia and Rene lit up with smiles and laughter to bring even more romance to the air and we are so excited to be shooting their wedding in May!

Kaelyn and Jack – April 22nd, 2012

What a beautiful day! We filmed this wedding just before sunset at the Inn of the Seventh Ray, a lovely venue tucked away in Topanga Canyon. Jack and Kaelyn and their families all seemed to have a great time relaxing during a beautiful, poetic ceremony and afterwards during the relaxed reception. My favorite part however, is how the couple incorporated songs from some of their favorite movies into the reception. In this highlight video, you can just hear the beginning of the Star Wars soundtrack as they exit the ceremony! Overall the happy couple, bridal party, and the venue all added a bit of beauty and came together for one of our best highlight videos yet!

Catherine and David – July 31st, 2011

This wedding was at one of the most beautiful locations I’ve ever been able to film! It took place in Malibu, so I had originally assumed it was a beach wedding, but upon further explanation I was told it was in someone’s backyard, next to a garden with a nice waterfall. The backyard was undersold – it was breathtaking, and made for a beautiful backdrop for a beautiful wedding!.
