I had the chance to shoot a music video for a local band, which we just wrapped earlier today. We worked on it today and last weekend. It was a lot of long hours, but I think it will turn out great! I was asked by my friend to serve as the director of photography for a music video he was directing. He had planned out every last detail of the story he wanted to tell, using the band’s lead singer and a local actress to act out scenes that would belong in a film noir movie. The wardrobe and sets were designed with the 1940s in mind and it was a blast to try and emulate the look of films from the same period. We shot on canon dslrs, including my own that I use for weddings, and also used a low key lighting design, with plenty of backlight on our main characters. It was a lot of fun, and I can’t wait to see it when it’s all put together! I’ll post it when it’s all done.
